“Opened in 1875, Alexandra Palace Theatre was a home for spectacle and wonder. A marvel of Victorian engineering, its stage allowed actors to disappear and fly. Now, after 80 years of slumber, something’s stirring at Ally Pally. Perched high above London, this hidden gem is coming back to life.”
After 80 years of the space being closed to the public, Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust (APPCT) relaunched its Theatre and East Court, following the completion of a hugely ambitious, three-year East Wing Restoration Project realised by architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios.
The Corner Shop strategised and implemented the following strategy:
- To secure exclusive first look in-depth features
- To maximise news and broadcast coverage of the reopening
- To link the artistic programme with the opening activity, citing Richard III as the first major production in this space
The following results reflect the coverage generated between October 2018 – April 2019.
